MEMBER PROTECTION

 

The safety and well-being of all club members is our priority.

We aim to provide a safe environment and to maintain responsible behaviour and fair decision-making.

Champion Bay SLSC regards discrimination, bullying and harassment in any form as unacceptable and takes all reasonable steps to make sure that there is no harassment in our club.

The club conducts member screening on all personnel working with Nippers and maintains an up-to-date register of all volunteers.

​

Member Protection Information Officer(MPIO)

The role of the MPIO is to assist members to locate and understand the policies and procedures available should a concern arise. They are not able to assist or advise on individual issues.

​

Champion Bay's qualified MPIO is Sue Britt.

Access to an independent MPIO can be arranged if preferred.

​

Surf Life Saving Australia and Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club are committed  to providing a child safe environment.
